After his discharge from the Army in 1945, Ziggy Puzon entered an instrument repair apprenticeship
with Frank Kaspar of Chicago. Upon completing his training in 1947, Ziggy spent time at LoDuca Accordions, American Plating, and Chicago Music Sales
working as an instrument repairman. On February 14, 1956, he opened his own shop in Chicago’s East Side neighborhood.
In 1967, his son Marty began working in the shop with his dad and learned the repair trade from him. In 1989, Marty’s son Marty Jr. began working in the shop and also learned to repair instruments. They continue to offer the same expert quality repairs on all woodwind and brass instruments
. In addition, string repairs are offered on a limited basis.
